The Technical Arts Ministry is composed of four key areas: Media, Lighting, Sound, and Video. Our Ministry strives to help connect you to God’s Word by providing an optimal worship atmosphere and experience. Our Ministry facilitates in communicating Harvest Community Church’s values by providing support for special events, Creative Arts and the Worship Team. Overall our goal is to create intimate encounters with God.
Technical Arts Teams:
The Media Team assists with the compiling and presentation of slides, videos and graphics
during the service and special events.
The Lighting Team helps to create a balanced lighting scheme during service in order to focus attention or create atmosphere during worship.
The Sound Team works directly with the Worship Team to provide a superior sound mix from the stage as well as assisting pastors and guest speakers during service.
Harvest Community Church is proud to welcome our Video Team as a new addition to our Technical Arts Ministry. Definitive goals and objectives are currently being formed. Some great ideas have been presented on how to integrate this team into the Sunday service as well as providing video coverage for outreaches and special events.
Also new to the Technical Arts Ministry is the Youth Tech Arts Team which is comprised of members of our youth ministry. This team will provide all aspects of technical arts for youth meetings and special events.
Below are some questions you may have regarding the Technical Arts Ministry.
How do I contribute to the Technical Arts Ministry?
If God has placed a special interest or a desire to serve on your heart, please contact Andrew Miller and he’ll place you with someone in the team that will assist and train you. If you aren’t sure where you might fit within the Tech Arts team we can help direct you to a field you will excel in.
What do I do on Sunday?
Sunday is “Show Time” where all the teams’ talents come together. A commitment to work during both services at least one Sunday per month is required by all team members. The option to fill-in for people when they are out-of-town, sick, etc. is available.
Thursday Night Practice!
Like most things, practice makes perfect. Thursday night is our Technical Arts Practice. This is a great way to get hands-on training and hone your skills in the team.
How do I get started?
No prior experience is required to join the team. Training in all fields is provided and within a few sessions if you are capable and comfortable, you’ll be placed on the rotating monthly schedule.
Come check out the booth anytime during service to visit or discuss training!
